Conveyor and Driving Chains for Plant Engineering and Construction

Conveyor Chain with Various Attached Parts | Scraper Chain | Chain Wheel | ||
Conveyor chains are a further development of chains according to DIN 8164 Additional attachment parts like pusher dogs allow to mount plates, scratches and cups to the chain. In order to reduce abrasion, it is of advantage to use hardened rollers The application of track rollers reduces the frictional resistance between the chain and the support plate of the chain (guide rail). Thereby the driving power of the chain is reduced and hence the required driving power. |
Scraper chains are preferred where
easily movable, granular or small lumpy parts have to be moved. The basic construction of the chains is equivalent to conveyor chains according to DIN 8165 and DIN 8167. The driving dog is normally bended in L-shape off the chain elements, screwed on or welded on. |
Chain wheels are a supplement to an optimum chain drive (drive chains and conveyor chains, respectively) The good collaboration of wheel chain and chain are a basis for a long tool life of both proven parts. |
