Conveyor Chains (DIN 8165, DIN 8167) are an enhancement of bush chains according to DIN 8164. Additional attachments such as driving and mounting brackets allows to fit plates, scratch and mugs to the chains.

Hardened small rollers are used to reduce the wear of socket and chain wheels.

The use of rollers reduces the friction between the chain and chain support (chain guide). This significantly reduces the force on the chain and thus also the power required during operation.
