Drive Chains

(DIN 8187, DIN 8188)

Roller chains (DIN 8187, DIN 8188) and bushing chains (DIN 8164) are proven machine elements.

They find economical application everywhere that two or more shafts need to be driven simultaneously.

Single-strand roller chains per DIN 8187 and DIN 8188
- corresponding to ISO 606-1982 -

Application: As a power transmission element between two or more shafts.

As of: March 2022

Design B-1 corresponds to the European type per DIN 8187.
Design A-1 corresponds to the American type per DIN 8188.

On request, we also supply the matching connecting links and attachments (angles, lugs/drivers, extended pins, etc.).
Please also inquire about the sprockets you require.

Single-strand roller chains per DIN 8187 and DIN 8188
– corrosion-resistant stainless steel, material 1.4301 –

Application: As a power transmission element between two or more shafts.

As of: March 2022

Roller chains made of chrome-nickel steel (material no. 1.4301) offer good corrosion resistance.

Design B-1 corresponds to the European type per DIN 8187.
Design A-1 corresponds to the American type per DIN 8188.

The continuous operating temperature resistance is 300°C. To avoid intergranular corrosion, this temperature must not be exceeded.
However, the breaking load is significantly reduced at elevated temperatures (see table above).
