Trough conveyor chains

(DIN 8165, DIN 8167)

Trough conveyor chains (DIN 8165, DIN 8167) are preferably used where easily flowing, granular, or small-piece bulk materials are to be conveyed.

The basic structure of these chains corresponds to that of bushing conveyor chains per DIN 8165 and DIN 8167. The flights (scrapers) of the trough conveyor chains are generally L-shaped and either bent onto the outer side plates or bolted/welded on at the center.

The chains can be used as a single strand or, connected with a scraper bar, as a double strand.

Application: As a transport chain in single- and double-strand conveyors for granular bulk materials

Technical Details

Material:

Side plates made of high-quality steel with a minimum tensile strength of 600 N/mm²
Pins and bushings made of case-hardening steel per DIN EN 10084, case-hardened.
Other materials available at the manufacturer's discretion or by agreement with the customer, e.g., stainless steel 1.4301, or pins made of 1.4122, quenched and tempered or hardened.

The pins are available either cotter-pinned on both sides (standard version) or fitted with retaining rings.

Dimension B (flight width) is determined according to the customer's specifications. This also applies to the arrangement of the scraper bars and to the mounting holes for attaching wipers/scrapers.

On request, we can also supply the trough conveyor chains with head pins (cotter-pinned on one side or fitted with a retaining ring). On request, the flights (scrapers) can be fitted with bolted-on wipers made of rubber or wear-resistant plastic (PE, PA, or Vulkollan).

The pins are available either cotter-pinned on both sides (standard version) or fitted with retaining rings. On request, we can also supply the trough conveyor chains with head pins (cotter-pinned on one side or fitted with a retaining ring).

Dimension B (flight width) is determined according to the customer's specifications. This also applies to the arrangement of the scraper bars and to the mounting holes for attaching wipers/scrapers.

Standard chain length is approx. 5 m per chain strand. Other chain lengths are available upon request. We reserve the right to change materials and product designs.

On request, the flights (scrapers) can be fitted with bolted-on wipers made of rubber or wear-resistant plastic (PE, PA, or Vulkollan).
